The Purpoose of GiddyGlove PA’RC

No one person, place, or thing can ensure that all young people have the resources
opportunities, and relationships needed to thrive. But together we can work to 
ensure that all young have access to the tools needed to help them grow into Self-
confident, Optimistic, Self-motivated People who thrive through service to 
themselves, their families, and their communities at large.

What We Do

Regular Chess play builds an infrastructure in the brain that helps to improve players concentration, enhance strategic thinking skills, and primes players for problem-solving @School & in Life. Group Play A Round Chess is the perfect way to help young scholars develop Social Emotional Learning Skills for Success. Learning Lessons for young scholars not only happen within the classroom, they happen at home within family functions, and in within and beyond structured community activities, The culture of an organization, in or out of school, plays an essential role in helping to ensure young people, regardless of background status, or economic circumstances, get nurturing, caring guidance and support they need to grow into healthy, self sufficient adults capable of taking care of themselves.

Our program is designed to help Challenge Help Encourage Student Success @ School by teaching them how to Plan Learn Achieve Yearly in Life. Using ABC easy video tutorials, GiddyGlove PA’RC PLAY guides students, (and educators) through lessons. Video tutorials, puzzles, and insightful articles and other educational materials @GioddyGlovePARC Online helps educators teach and students learn in and out of school.


How We Work

Having caring, positive relationships with parents, teachers, and peers increases the likelihood that young people develop resilience in the face of adversity,. Focusing on SEL skills promotes growth-mindset, and helps young people develop social-emotional learning skills needed to succeed @school & thrive in life.  

GiddyGlove PA’RC uses an Equitable Relationships Framework to develop caring, positive, trusting, Adult/Youth Relationships to help inspire, motivate, and mobilize communal support to help Educators teach Students Social Emotional Learning Skills for success.
@GiddyGlove PARC we are excited to introduce chess to as many Philadelphia Educators & Students as possible.

Exercise Your Brain Muscle-

Chess is a really old game. Thousands of years old. Chess is played on an 8x8 square checkered grid. Usually a 2 player game, Each player starts with an army of 16 pieces on a mission to get CHECKMATE by capturing the Enemy King to the win game.
